Long time no talk to! Hope you are doing well. I just wanted to let you know that Kris Kringle crossed the rainbow bridge on Tuesday. I helped his family make the tough decision. He had been having a hard very hard time manuevering his back end and was getting very weak there. He had to be helped up and then was quite wobbley. Even after walking around a while and being warmed and loosened up, he still wasn't stable on all four. The vet concurred that it was indeed time. We worried that he would try to run and break a hip, or even fall down while walking. Many tears were shed, even by the vet who is usually a pretty tough gal.
I knew you would want to know, as you were a big part of saving this fellow. He was sure a grand and fellow who loved his little charges. They're really going to miss him, as will I. Rest assured he was so happy and well taken care of right to the end.
